Lago de Chapala (Lake Chapala)

To say thank you to Makako we cooked a yummy basil pesto pasta. Makako made us amazing mango vodka cocktails, with a chili frosting - a fantastic combination! It was a beautiful day, so we went to the biggest lake in Mexico, Lago de Chapala.
Such nice people deserve great meals, and this Mango cocktail with chili was fantastic!
It was very busy, tons of people enjoying the sun, walking dogs, skating, picnicking. The shops weren't allowed to sell beer, so they made beer cocktails; beer with Tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, salt and lime, but not a little pinch, a teaspoon!
Sitting by the lake, with a Beer-cocktail.
This lake is great. It's huge, warm and lots of families enjoy it. We went to another part of the lake where tons of Americans retire where it was more quiet. Makako's labrador, Negro, went swimming and we spent ages throwing rocks for the sweet puppy to try and find! It was a lovely day, and supposed to be our last one. Exhausted and lazy we spent one more day in Guadalajara lazing around before catching two buses (ADO, $600/$450 pesos) to Oaxaca.
Rob and Negro playing, Negro was so sure there was a rock in Rob's hand.
